Nestled in the foothills
of the Appalachian Mountains in the quiet Village of Oak Hill, Ohio; a community of 1500, is P.I.&I. Motor Express' Oak Hill Terminal. It would seem an odd choice for company for the company so closely allied with the steel industry.
In January of 1998, the owner of Grant Trucking, Inc. decided to cease operations and retire. P.I&I. Motor Express purchased the equipment, hired the personnel, and began operations in March of 1998.
Oak Hill started with 12 units and are currently operating between 25 and 30 units. We have full service shop that is outstanding and currently branching out into outside repairs.
As for the choice of a terminal in Oak Hill within 15 miles of the oak hill area are some of the best clay deposits in the United States. This clay is mixed with other minerals to make refractory products. Refractory products are used to line ladles, furnaces, etc. in all steel mills.
So, Oak Hill was the perfect choice to join the family of the steel industry leader in transportation.
